What you will be doing?

  • Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Care System, which includes Crisis Line/ telephone services and Mobile Crisis Response. 
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling volunteers and paid staff. 
  • Responsible for program development, supervision of Crisis Care System employees, on-call supervisory duties, administrative responsibilities, and responding to requests for services, and community relations. 
  • Managers are expected to work with a team of service providers in the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that the needs of clients are met. 24/7 hours/days availability required.  
  • Managers are expected to assist with crisis response (telephone and mobile) as necessary including crisis consultation and mobile crisis response in community.  
  • This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.
  • Complete all reports in a timely manner (Productivity MRO Reports, Outcome Measures, New Employee Monthly Billing Review, etc).
  • Ensure appropriate staffing patterns; including, but not limited to 24/7 coverage, provide program coverage when needed (including overnight, evening, weekend and holiday hours).
  • Adhere to program financial guidelines including MRO expectations as determined by program management.  
  • Evaluate staff performance and complete necessary coaching and/or corrective action.
  • Complete performance evaluations in a timely manner.  
  • Responsible to provide independent program coverage when scheduled or in emergency situations
  • Schedule monthly program meetings and hold leads accountable to conducting meetings to program standards when applicable.
  • Obtain input from stakeholders on a regular basis to improve services.
  • Assure compliance to all rules, regulations and recommendations per agency, state and federal guidelines.
  • Review and implement updated policies and procedures from the Agency and Program procedure manual.
  • Train RSS, QMHP, and MHP staff in necessary skills, tasks and tools to effectively work in their roles, and in alignment with program requirements and standards.    
  • Provide on-call supervision/guidance/support to staff
  • Assure the completion of required documentation and billing by staff per established guidelines (all MRO documentation completed in Cx360 weekly).  
  • Meet minimum productivity standards monthly
  • Provide effective and thorough crisis intervention assessments. 
  • Ensure all files are maintained per agency policy and procedure.
  • Maintain Records: staff and client meeting minutes, safety documentation, personnel information, etc.
  • Review and ensure the proper completion of the following:  Staff Daily Logs, incident reports, Crisis Intervention documentation, Safety Plans, Case notes.
  • Navigate Cx360, have a working knowledge of opening clients to programming and ensure client profile is completed correctly.
  • Ensure compliance of monthly clinical supervision for all non-licensed staff.
  • Participate in clinical supervision a minimum of one time per month.
  • Enter staff payroll accurately and in a timely fashion using payroll system.  Request all scheduled and unscheduled PTO using agency payroll system.  
  • Track staff trainings to ensure compliance and assist staff to schedule trainings as needed.  
  • Monitor staff in daily assignments, hold staff accountable to completing assignments daily and turning in daily logs    
  • Monitor MRO on a monthly basis and discuss with staff to ensure staff are meeting billing goals.    
  • Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Care System, which includes Crisis Line/ telephone services and Mobile Crisis Response.
  • Ensure provision of quality Mobile Crisis Response services in accordance with program 590 guidelines.
  • Ensure provision of quality Crisis Line phone response services in accordance with program guidelines, accreditation bodies, and funding sources as applicable, including Sunshine program services.
  • Responsible for Crisis Care System program development and implementation.
  • Oversee the completion of community linkage referrals.  Follow up with staff as necessary.

Education:
  • Master’s degree in a human services field (QMHP) required. 
License/Certifications:
  • None required, LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW preferred
Experience:
  • Two or more years of experience in behavioral health/crisis services preferred.  
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clinical services to clients with a variety of psychiatric disorders.
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Recovery Model.
  • Effective counseling skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects as one time and shift focus back and forth, as needed.
  • Organizational skills to handle the demands of Residential Services.
  • Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
  • Maintain a clean work area.  Be respectful of other’s work areas.  
  • Abide by AID’s professional dress code, including footwear.  
What are the other requirements?
  • Manage schedule in a manner that allows timely completion of all duties and be available to program after hours. Be present in program and available to staff for assistance.  
  • Monitor, recognize emergency situations and take appropriate action.  
  • Maintain client rights.
  • Maintain a team approach.  
  • Participate in agency committees as assigned.  
  • Ensure the coordination of services in the community to meet client needs (financial, legal, advocacy, medical, etc.
  • Promote a relationship between clients’ families and staff.
  • Acquire and maintain certifications in First Aid, Adult CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI), OIG Rule 50, Infection Control and Aetna Compliance and Fraud trainings as well as any other trainings assigned by Director.
  • Attend and participate in agency events and fundraisers.  
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with coworkers, agencies and other stakeholders.  
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned and in accordance with AID policies and procedures.  
  • Promotes client wellness through coaching, counseling, consultation, motivational enhancement, and information and referral services to clients, as needed.
  • Communicates with service delivery partners, which may include Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Counselors, Pharmacists, Employers, Community Supports, and other Health Professionals, as needed, to facilitate the achievement of client’s wellness objectives.
